Summary

 This book is about a school celebrating their 100th day with letters for each class. Cam is a girl that has photographic memory and was nicknamed Cam. She closes her eyes and says "click". Cam's class had the letter "p". The class was having pizza for their party, but the pizza went missing. Cam had to solve the missing pizza mystery and tracked it down to another class that had the letter "c" because they thought of cheese.

The genre of this book is science fiction. Having a photographic memory like that could exist someday, but it is currently not real.     

 

 

 

 

Evaluation by Illustrations

 

 The colors are vivid and intense. The illustrations are realistic. The dialogue and attention to everyday details create a realistic tableau. The texture is smooth. The shape outlines the text and directs the viewers eyes. The shapes are meaningful and significant.

 

 

 



Motivational Activities

 100th day of School Mystery was intended for age range 6-8 years old. The book has a fascinating way of thinking of food groups that start with different letters.

 

• The class should name food and beverages starting with specific letters.
•  Bring those foods to class for a party.
• Have the children look at a picture. Have the class close their eyes and say "click". When they open their eyes, have them say what they remember out loud.
